KONUS-Guestcard:
Bus and Rail free of charge

The expression “KONUS” is reminiscent of the universal key that train conductors once used for opening buses and railway cars.
In the 11,100 square kilometres holiday region in the south-west, the expression stands for the free use of public transport services
for Black Forest visitors.

The only exceptions are the non-participating local city transports of Karlsruhe and Pforzheim. However, the KONUS Guest Card is valid on the routes of the Enztalbahn and Nagoldtalbahn to the central station in Pforzheim. The Enztalbahn passes through the Enztal Valley, while the Nagoltalban navigates the Nagoldtal Valley.

Please also note that although most villages and municipalities within the Black Forest participate in the KONUS scheme, some do not.  To avoid disappointment, please check with your intended hotel before you book, or consult the list of participating villages mentioned both at the head of this page and again at the footnote below.

Arrive at your holiday destination, park your car, and start your hiking trip. Embark on a journey of discovery of the region or enjoy culture and shopping in one of our homely cities and all without worrying about finding a parking spot for your car.

Nobody needs to worry about fare zones and finding change. It’s best is to ask for information on the KONUS Guest Card before booking. Then the entire Black Forest will be yours!
